Jodrell Bank is a special place in the countryside of Cheshire, England. It has a very big telescope called the Lovell Telescope with a hugehuge/hjuːdʒ/L1巨大的；非常大的very, very big dish. The dish is 250 feet wide, and you can see it from 20 miles away in Manchester!
Sir Bernard Lovell built it in 1957. He built it to listen to radio signals from space. The telescope catches radio waves from space and gives us pictures of faraway stars.
