ReadLevelGo is committed to providing accurate, appropriate, and useful reading content for English learners. This Editorial Policy explains how we select source material, adapt it into graded levels, and ensure quality before publication.

1. Source Selection

We select news topics from reputable international news sources. We prioritize stories that are:

• Fact-based and widely reported
• Appropriate for a general audience, including younger learners
• Relevant and interesting to English learners around the world
• Free from graphic, sensational, or politically extreme content

2. Adaptation and Grading

Each article is rewritten into three levels based on standardized readability principles:

• Level 1 (A1-A2): Short sentences, common vocabulary, simple grammar
• Level 2 (B1-B2): Moderate length, broader vocabulary, more complex structures
• Level 3 (C1-C2): Longer paragraphs, advanced vocabulary, nuanced expressions

3. Fact-Checking and Attribution

We aim to preserve the factual accuracy of the original news story during adaptation. Where original source URLs are available, we include them on the article page for attribution and further reading. We do not publish opinion pieces as news.

4. Review Process

Before publication, each article goes through an automated review that checks for readability, vocabulary consistency, and factual claims. Articles that do not meet our standards are revised or not published.

5. Corrections

If we discover a factual error after publication, we correct it promptly and update the article's modification date. Users can report errors by contacting us at admin@readlevelgo.com.
