A Robot Helps with a Liver Transplant

Doctors in Hong Kong performed the world's first robotic living-donor liver transplanttransplant/ˈtrænsplænt/L2移植(手术)an operation in which a doctor moves an organ from one person's body to another person's body. A team from the University of Hong Kong shared the results of a clinical trial. Since June 2025, surgeons at Queen Mary Hospital completed 48 procedures. None of the patients had long-term or post-operative complications.
